AUSSIE
AUSSIE: AUD/USD last at $0.7135, 7 pips lower on the day, as it erased earlier
gains that came about on the back of a strong labour mkt print, after NAB hiked
its variable mortgage rates by 12-16bp citing an increase in funding costs.
Market reaction was driven by the RBA's perceived reaction function owing to the
wealth effect.
- Bears continue to focus on the nearby 21-DMA/yesterday's low at $0.7127/18 and
a fall below would draw their attention to the psychological $0.7100 level. On
the upside, bulls need a jump back above yesterday's peak at $0.7144 before
challenging the Jan 22 high of $0.7160.
