AUSSIE: AUD/USD trades flat at $0.7088 in early Asia-Pac dealing. This occurs
after the pair round tripped from session highs of $0.7136 and closed 5 pips
lower Wednesday. In yesterday's Asia-Pac session, AUD was aided by NZD's
post-RBNZ strength & SCMP reports suggesting that Chinese President Xi will meet
with U.S. Tsy Sec Mnuchin & USTR Lighthizer on Friday. However, broader USD
strength evident in London/NY hours allowed the rate to erase earlier gains.
- The lower 1.0% 10-DMA envelope at $0.7062 provides the initial bearish target
and a fall below would open up the Feb 12 low of $0.7054. Meanwhile, bulls look
for a breach of the psychological $0.7100 level, before challenging Wednesday's
high/50-DMA at $0.7136/39.
- RBA's Kent headlines the remainder of the week, when he speaks Friday.
