AUSSIE BONDS: Aussie Bonds have operated in a tight range moving back from
session lows following the softer than than expected Australian retail sales
data.
- 3-Year Bond futures trade at 97.810 (+1.0 tick), while 10-Year Bond futures
trade at 97.245 (+1.5 ticks).
- The domestic 3-/10-Year yield spread operates at 58.0bp (-1.1bp), while the
AU/US 10-Year spread is 1.4bp wider at -21.8bp.
- 3-Month BBSW fixed 1.5bp lower at 1.980% today, with the white & red Bill
contracts last trading unch.-2 ticks higher.
- News flow has been light outside of the domestic retail sales print as traders
await the release of Australia's Federal Budget.
- The latest I/L Bond auction passed smoothly, as focus turned to corporate
supply with Goldman set to issue A$ denominated 5 & 10 Year paper.
- Participants will also eye comments Fed Chair Powell due in early European
hours.
