AUSSIE: Aussie dollar has built on earlier gains following strong November
Building approvals data, last up 20 pips at 0.7862, just off session highs of
0.7865. Sources noting fast money accounts still bidding the pair higher,
strength also spilling over into the kiwi dollar.
- Post data ANZ point out much of this strength was due to increases in Victoria
and warn that the result could be reversed next month. They do note that leading
indicators in the sector are strong and surmise "It seems pretty clear to us
that any fears of weaker dwelling construction in 2018 are misplaced."
