ASIAN MARKETS, AUSSIE-YEN
AUSSIE-YEN: AUD/JPY has added a handful of pips and last sits at Y77.25.
- The rate jumped 173 pips Friday, drawing support from firm risk sentiment, as
well as the PBOC's decision to cut its RRR by 100bp, which aided AUD.
- Worth noting participants will be attentive to the Sino-U.S. trade talks to be
held this week.
- Bulls look for a return above Friday's high at Y77.30 (already breached
multiple times today) before shifting focus to the Jan 2 high at Y77.40,
followed by the 21-DMA at Y78.96. On the downside, initial resistance is located
at the Jan 2 low of Y75.99 and a break below that level would allow bears to
garner some downside momentum.
