AUSSIE-YEN: AUD/JPY has given away 17 pips and now changes hands at JPY72.89.
The rate remains limited after the weekend news flow has inspired a defensive
feel at the start to the week. Concern over the resurfacing coronavirus remains,
U.S. President Trump faced some fresh political headwinds, while China unveiled
the details of its HK security bills.
- As flagged before, RBA Governor takes part in a panel discussion. Little of
note in his comments so far, he remarked that Australia went into crisis in
better position than others.
- A dip through Jun 12 low of Y72.53 & the 200-DMA at Y72.26 would give bears
some impetus, opening May 27 high of Y71.93. On the flip side, a move through
Friday's peak at Y73.83 would draw attention to Jun 16 high of Y75.09.
