ASIAN MARKETS, AUSSIE-YEN
AUSSIE-YEN: AUD/JPY last Y82.47, down ~25 pips after markets digested worrying
signals re: U.S.-China relations & global trade, which weighed on general risk
sentiment & pressured the Antipodeans.
- The pair's move has occured after Friday's rally on the back of warm comments
from U.S. President Trump re: China, although the rhetoric was later played down
by the White House.
- Yen's strength has been limited by positive performance from Japanese stock
indices thus far today.
- Bears eye Friday's intraday lows of Y82.11 & a break below would open up the
21-DMA at Y81.20. Bulls need to retake Y82.82, where the rate peaked a few times
on Friday, to gain some upside momentum.
