Australian Fair Work Commission Cleared Way to Strike Ahead of Talks

Australia’s Fair Work Commission cleared the way for Chevron workers to vote for industrial action, while officials from both Chevron and Woodside Energy are scheduled to meet with union leaders to enter a new round of negotiations on Tuesday according to several sources.

  • Talks last week between both Chevron and Woodside and the unions were set to continue on 15 August.
  • The volumes at risk equate to around 10-11% of global supplies according to analyst notes.
