Austria Receiving Half the Expected Gas from Russia

NATURAL GAS

Austria received about half the gas it was expecting from Russia yesterday according to OMV. The gas flow restrictions from Russia were at the same level on Sunday.

  • About 800 gigawatt-hours of gas were imported on Sunday according to Austrian regulator E-Control. Austrian consumption has been very low allowing volumes to still head into storage.
  • Austria is not going to raise the alert level of its emergency gas plan while storage is still being filled according to E-Control. Austrian storage is at around 60% according to OMV.
