Azerbaijan Crude Exports Slip Jan-Feb y-o-y

Azerbaijan exported 4.1m tons of crude and condensate in the first two months of the year according to its Energy Ministry.

  • Oil exports in January-February were 4.42m tons a year earlier.
  • Crude and condensate output was 5.1m tons in the period, output was 5.4m tons a year earlier.
  • 3.8m tons of crude and condensate was produced from BP-led projects – all of which was exported.
  • Azerbaijan exported 4.3 bcm of natural gas in the first two months of the year, up 13% y/y.
  • Europe is the largest buyer of Azeri gas as it steps in to replace Russian flows.
