Azerbaijan Gas Production Jan-July 2022 up 15% y-o-y

Azerbaijan produced 20.48 bcm of marketable natural gas in the first seven months of 2022, up 15% from a year earlier, according to the State Statistics Committee.

  • Total natural gas production in January-July rose 13% y/y to 27.3 bcm
  • Azerbaijan exported 12.9 bcm of natural gas in January-July, up 24% y/y
  • Azerbaijan has emerged as a key alternative for Europe to move away from Russian flows. The country hopes double export to the region by 2027 based on a deal signed in July.
