Azeri BTC Loadings Resumed From Ceyhan Port

Export loadings at the BTC pipeline from the port of Ceyhan have resumed on Sunday after the earthquake disrupted flows since 6 Feb, a spokesman for operator BP said.

  • BP operates the 1.2mbpd BTC pipeline, which carries crude from Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli field and condensate from Shah Deniz across Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.
  • Flows of Iraq’s Kirkuk crude oil were also set to fully resume, and loading began on Saturday, an Iraqi oil ministry official told S&P Commodity Insights.
  • Tankers have already been loading Kurdish-origin crude from storage tanks from Ceyhan since 8 Feb.
