Bank Indonesia Keep Rates Unchanged, As Expected

Bank Indonesia keep the 7-day reverse repo rate unchanged at 5.75%, as expected.

The Bank state:
  • Policy is adequate to keep core CPI in target
  • To step up monetary policy operations to improve transmission as well as IDR stabilisation via intervention
  • On their export earnings policy, they write that the policy is to be effective from March, and are to step up the policy via new tools.
