BanRep Economist Survey Points To Higher Year-End Inflation

COLOMBIA

The Central bank published its monthly survey of economists on website late Friday. Economists increased their 2022 CPI estimate to 9.22% Vs. 8.62%. The survey also suggests the next rate move in July will be a 150 bps increase.

  • 12-month inflation raised to 5.80% from 5.30%
  • 24-month inflation raised to 4.11% from 3.94%
  • 2023 year-end inflation raised to 5.20% from 4.66%
  • 2022 year-end exchange rate raised to 4155 from 3836 COP/USD
  • 2023 year-end exchange rate raised to 4000 from 3745 COP/USD
