BOJ VIEW
BOJ VIEW: Barclays note that "the "stealth" tapering of QE calmly advanced by
the BoJ through last year has taken a breather. As the "quantitative"
sustainability of QQE+YCC has already strengthened correspondingly, we believe
the BoJ is unlikely to hurry its tapering to the extent that it risks JPY
appreciation, at least for now. As tightening supply and demand becomes more
apparent into H2, however, we believe the BoJ will become increasingly likely to
taper in order to sustain YCC."
