Biden: There's A Possibility I May Go To Poland

US President Joe Biden has fueled speculation that he may be preparing a trip to Poland to mark the February 24 one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
  • Biden said in response to a reporter's question: "I haven't made a decision when I'm going to Poland or even if, for certain, I'm going to Poland... There's a possibility I may go to Poland, but that's all."
  • Polish Foreign Policy Advisor Marcin Przydacz said last week: "We already know for sure that President Joe Biden will respond positively to President Duda's invitation and will come to Poland. We have agreed with the American side that we will announce the date of this visit in due course, but I can assure that it will be sooner rather than later."
  • NBC: "The White House was considering ways Biden might mark the milestone to draw attention to Ukraine’s resilience against Russia’s brutal military campaign and to reaffirm U.S. solidarity with the Ukrainian people as the conflict enters a new phase."
