Biden, Trudeau, Lopez Obrador To Discuss USMCA At December Summit

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has told reporters today that he will discuss the United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA) with US President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

  • Lopez Obrador said in a press conference: "We'll have a summit to discuss terms of the trade agreement treaty... in Mexico."
  • According to Reuters, Mexican Economy Minister Tatiana Clouthier said in an interview today "that the United States is "distorting" the USMCA by filing labor complaints against Mexico..."
  • The meeting will likely take place at a trilateral summit scheduled for December.
