BNP coming to market with a two-tranche USD benchmark issue, shorter-end pricing talk looks wider.


  • Senior non-preferred, both tranches fixed-to-FRN, coming in benchmark size, expected ratings Baa1/A-/A+, in line with rest of BNP’s similar credit curve.
  • BNP trades tightest of the three French banks with meaningful SNP USD issues out there, it would seem the IPT is much wider on the shorter-dated tranche with a seeming expectation of some rarity value further out along the curve (see graphic).
