BOE To Reassess CCyB in Q2

UK
(MNI) London
  • The BOE stated the CCyB rate will remain at 1%, coming into effect from Dec 13, 2022, and is expected to be increased to 2% in Q2 2022. This decision follows due to increased economic outlook uncertainty and downside risks amplified by the invasion of Ukraine.
  • The FPC stands ready to vary the UK CCyB rate according to developments in the risk environment.
  • The BOE will return to ACS stress testing in 2022, however the launch is delayed and will be announced in Q2 2022. The release date may be adjusted from the initial December appointment.
