BofA have changed their Bank of England call

  • BofA expect the Bank of England (BoE) to raise interest rates 15bp to 0.25% in May 2022, compared to their previous expectation of no rate hikes through 2022.
  • BofA says it assumes no more hikes by end-2023, as they expect the BoE to start Quantitative Tightening (QT) soon after the first hike in early summer 2022 or spring 2023.
