BoJ US$ Ops May Provide A Feeler Of Year-End US$ Demand

Given the talk surrounding year-end "turn" pricing in US$ funding markets in recent days/weeks the results of today's 84-day BoJ US$ ops will be eyed, given that it is the first U.S. operation that covers the end of the year. A limited-moderate take up at the operations would point to Japanese banks holding a sanguine view on year-end US$ funding requirements/pricing, and would build on the view suggested that the move lower in the likes of 3-Month EUR/USD cross currency basis moves are set to retrace further.
