Boric Approval Continues To Slide, Will Hope For Boost From Aid Package

Approval ratings for President Gabriel Boric continue to slide, with the latest poll from CEP showing a notable increase in dissatisfaction with the head of state from the spring of 2022 to the end of the year. Boric will be hoping that the USD2bn financial aid package for households and businesses announced on 5 Jan will be sufficient to arrest the slide in support for Chile's youngest-ever president.
