Ohio Republican Frank LaRose has become the third Republican candidate to enter the crucial Ohio Senate race. LaRose will join businessman Bernie Morena and State Senator Matt Dolan in a bid to unseat Democrat incumbent veteran Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH).
- A new survey from USA Today, Suffolk University, has found that, “Ohio will help determine which party gains control of the U.S. Senate in 2024, but it's poised to play a much smaller role in the race for president.”
- The poll finds that, “Brown maintained a slight edge over his potential Republican opponents as he heads into a contentious reelection bid. The same survey showed Ohioans once again supporting former President Donald Trump over President Joe Biden in a 2024 rematch.”
- Brown is considered one of the most vulnerable Senate Democrats in 2024 but maintains broad appeal in the state despite a sustained shift to the GOP.
