Bunds & Gilts More Than Reverse Initial Knee Jerk Lower Post-U.S. CPI

BONDS

Bunds and gilts look to Tsys for direction post-CPI, with the initial knee jerk move lower more than reversed owing to the ‘low’ nature of the unrounded headline Y/Y and core M/M beats.

  • Initial support in Bund futures (129.93, the low from Aug 21) held, with a fresh session low seen at 129.95, while gilt futures didn’t threaten initial support, as outperformance in UK paper remains intact.
