Bunds & Gilts Nudge Lower On U.S. Data

BONDS

Gilt and Bund futures are happy to follow Tsys lower in the wake of the U.S. weekly jobless claims and unit labour cost data, albeit moving in a more modest manner.

  • Benchmark bond futures contracts tick further away from session bests as a result.
  • UK cash bonds sit 3-5bp richer on the session, still bull steepening on the day and outperforming core global FI peers.
  • German cash benchmarks sit 0.5-1.5bp richer across the curve.
