Cabinet Chief Francos Says Omnibus Bill May Be Approved In July

- In an interview with LN+, the new cabinet chief Guillermo Francos said that Congress might approve the government’s omnibus bill in July with the support of lawmakers in the Senate and lower house. Francos said that he expects the Senate to approve the bill during the week of June 10, after which the lower house would then have to approve any changes made by the Senate.
- To recap, Interior Minister Francos replaced Nicolas Posse as cabinet chief last week, with the hope that Francos, who has been negotiating with Congress over the omnibus bill, can accelerate the bill’s progress through the Senate.
