Cabinet Debates Fiscal Consolidation, Debt Supply Eyed

  • The Cabinet will discuss its fiscal consolidation package this afternoon. Hospodarske Noviny reports that the government may introduce some cosmetic "changes" in response to negative feedback from a range of actors, but most of the austerity measures are expected to be approved without changes.
  • The Finance Ministry will offer as much as CZK9bn of notes maturing in 2031 and 2037 at an auction today. The deadline for bids is 11:00BST/12:00CEST.
  • There is little of note on the local economic docket until the publication of final Q1 GDP and CNB minutes on Friday.
