Buyers emerged to edge rate back to $1.2994 into close. 

* The added downside momentum was seen on strong dollar demand(JOLTS react?),

but Eur/Usd sell reaction overtook cable slip. 

* Sharp move lower in Eur/Usd pressed back on Eur/Gbp from its high of Gbp0.9087

taking it to Gbp0.9038.

* Move lower in the cross drove cable back toward $1.3000 ahead of the close. 

* Cable eased to $1.2970 early Asia before rate then recovered to $1.2990,

remained buoyed above $1.2980 into Europe. 

* Eur/Gbp edged to Gbp0.9055, dropped to Gbp0.9029. Recovery capped at

Gbp0.9040.
