CABLE: Cable last trades at $1.2780 after falling 34 pips Friday on the back of
Brexit headlines. The pair spiked 75 pips lower erasing most of yesterday's
gains as UK PM May told the lawmakers that if her deal fails to pass the
parliament, the UK will head for a no-deal Brexit. This played out after EU
chief negotiator Barnier had said that the current divorce agreement is "the
only deal possible".
- However, the rate drifted north thereafter, reducing earlier losses.
- Initial bearish focus falls on $1.2756 and a break below would open up the Nov
28 lows of $1.2733. Meanwhile, bulls need to retake yesterday's high at $1.2850
before challenging the Nov 26 high at $1.2864.
- UK data releases today include house prices figures, while any Brexit news
flow remains a factor to watch.
