CABLE: Cable last trades flat at $1.3309 after advancing almost 60 pips
yesterday, extending the recent leg higher. The pair managed to print a fresh
YTD high of $1.3350 just ahead of the 1600 GMT fix.
- Yesterday saw the latest round of non-binding Brexit votes in British
parliament. MPs overwhelmingly supported the Yvette Cooper amendment, which
allows parliament to vote on extending Art. 50, should the lawmakers reject PM
May's deal & the no-deal option in March.
- Elsewhere, Brexit plans tabled by the Labour Party were rejected, which led
Labour leader Corbyn to reiterate his party's support for the second Brexit
referendum.
- Bulls look for a breach of yesterday's YTD high before moving on to
challenging the upper 2.0% 10-DMA envelope at $1.3361. Conversely, bears look
for a fall below the upper Bollinger band (2%) at $1.3306, which has limited
losses so far, followed by Tuesday's high of $1.3288.
- UK focus this week falls on Brexit developments & m'fing PMI due Fri.
