CABLE: Cable lost ground yesterday as participants kept watching election polls,
with the Tory lead over the runner-up Labour Party narrowing slightly. 
- GBP/USD last trades at $1.2853, 14 pips worse off. A drop under the $1.2840
trendline support drawn off the low of the Nov 8 trough would open up that daily
trough at $1.2769. Bulls need a rebound above the Nov 18 high of $1.2985 before
challenging the Oct 21 peak at $1.3013.
- The FT reported that EU chief Brexit negotiator Barnier told EU politicians at
a closed-door meeting that he will make striking a trade deal with the UK a
priority after Brexit, but also noted that London and Brussels would struggle to
reach an agreement within a year after divorce.
- YouGov will publish their much awaited MRP poll in the London evening. In the
fairly recent past, the multilevel regression and post-stratification poll
accurately predicted the hung parliament as a result of a 2017 general election.
