- Retail sales volumes did not change in February for the second month in a row
- Grocers continued to contribute to the largest extent (+45%)
- Ongoing uncertainties kept consumer confidence low in Feb, contributing to
stagnating retail sales
- Feb expectations regarding sales volumes were positive with 55% stating
volumes would pick up in the next month. 16% anticipated a decrease (balance
+39%)
- The balance for investment intentions reached the lowest value since Feb 2012,
amounting to -33% in February
- Wholesales and Motor trades both reported rising sales volumes in the February
survey (balance +23% and +30%, respectively)
