Centrica Agree 15 Year LNG Supply from Delfin

Centrica has signed a 15 year agreement for the supply of 1m tonnes of LNG a year with Delfin Midstream.

  • The supply will be from the first floating export facility off Louisiana following their heads of agreement last year.
  • The supply agreement with a market value of $8 billion will provide enough energy to heat 5% of UK homes and will “build further resilience” to the country’s energy security according to a Centrica statement.
  • The agreement should help bring the Delfin final investment decisions on its first two FLNG vessels scheduled for later this year a step closer.
  • In May, Centrica suggested an expectation for the supplies of around 14 LNG cargoes per year to start from 2027 with the free on board pricing based on a mixture of Henry Hub and European pricing.
