China LNG Imports To Fall In Next 7 Days

Imports of LNG into China are projected to be 0.58m mt in the next seven days, according to OilChem Aug. 24.

  • Of the total, 0.29m mt is scheduled to arrive from Australia, 0.10m mt from Qatar, and 60k mt from Russia.
  • This is down 58% on the week compared to OilChem’s forecast for LNG imports during the seven days starting Aug. 17.
  • China’s spot delivery price averaged 4,236 y/t Aug. 24, up 14 y/t on the day amid robust demand from power generation and industrial manufacturing.
