China’s Diesel Output Rose 26.9% YoY in May

China’s diesel output rose by 26.9% on the year to 18.508mn tons in May, data from the Chinese Statistics Bureau showed.

  • Gasoline output rose by 14.8% year on year in May to 13.405mn tons.
  • Kerosene output increased by 160% on the year in May to 3.935mn tons.
  • Fuel oil output in May rose by 8.2% year on year to 4.378mn tons last month.
  • Naphtha output in May rose by 25.1% to 5.804mn tons, compared with last year’s levels.
  • LPG output in May rose by 6.4% year on year to 4.521mn tons.
  • Chinese diesel exports fell to a 10-month low in May to 600,000 metric tons, down from 620,000 metric tons in April. Gasoline exports stood at 1.36mn tons in May, the highest level since December and up from 820,000 tons in April.
