CHINA PRESS: China's economy is broadly stable, fluctuating with the increasing
uncertainties in the external environment, Xinhua News Agency said in a
commentary. China has strong economic fundamentals in the long term as indicated
by GDP growth of 6.8% in the first half of the year and low unemployment and
inflation rates, Xinhua said. Domestic demand has become the driving force of
China's economy and China's market has large room for further consumption
upgrading, Xinhua noted. Consumption in service and high-tech industries will
lead China's high quality and structurally-enhanced development, Xinhua added.
