China and Singapore gasoline exports to Mexico from Jan-Sep were the highest since 2019, according to ArgusMedia citing GTT Customs Data.

  • China exported 741k mt, or 23k b/d in the first three quarter of 2019, around three times the volumes in 2021 and 2022.
  • Exports over the same period in 2022 were 247k mt, 246k mt in 2021, and 730.5k mt in 2020.
  • Exports have not been at current highs since 2019, when 950k mt was exported between January and September.
  • Exports from Singapore have also skyrocketed to 905k mt in Q1-Q3 of this year. This compares to just 66k mt exported in 2022.
  • Argus said that flows from Asia to Mexico are abating in October due to cheaper volumes from West of Suez. While Mexico’s PMI bid for October and November loading cargoes in APAC, high offers kept them from lifting cargoes.
