Chinese Gasoline Exports Expected to Ramp Up April m-o-m: OilChem

China’s largest refiners plan to export 730k tons of gasoline in April vs 490k tons this month according to OilChem.

  • In total, around 2.3m tons of oil-product shipments are being planned for April - up 20% from a revised figure of around 1.9m tons in March.
  • Diesel exports planned at around 484k tons in April vs around 502k tons in March.
  • China’s oil product exports have been choppy this year as the government aims to keep sufficient supply for the domestic market as its economy rebounds from lockdowns.
  • Traffic congestion indicators suggest that Chinese traffic levels have been reducing through March across major cities.
