Chinese Gasoline Exports Rise in May, Jet and Diesel Retreat

The early release of Chinese oil product export quotas is likely to see a response in gasoline first according to Vortexa with export economics for May loading diesel and jet less supportive.

  • Chinese gasoline exports are expected to remain elevated in May, with around 280kbd exported over May 1-13. Singapore 92R gasoline cracks rose to a 9-month high since late March.
  • Overall Chinese clean product exports are on the decline in May against bearish cracks.
  • China’s second batch of oil product export quotas last week amounted to 9mt combined.
