CHINA: Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Thursday that he and visiting U.S.
President Donald Trump agreed to widen cooperation on economics, trade and the
military. The two sides also agreed to strengthen exchanges and coordinate
policy in regards to North Korea and Afghanistan, Xi said while sitting with
Trump and other officials during a brief appearance broadcast live on local
television. Trump said the two leaders had a "great dinner" the previous night,
extending to over two hours, from the originally scheduled 20 minutes. He also
praised the "beautiful" military parade presented Thursday morning in his honor.
The two sides can resolve many world issues together, Trump added.
