CHINA PRESS: Chinese regulators should consider extending the grace period for
the new asset management sector regulations if liquidity pressure increases
significantly, Xinhua News Agency reported Friday. Some financial institutions
account for a large share of outstanding wealth management products that can't
be rolled over when they are mature in compliance with the regulation, the
report said. The purpose of the regulation is to prevent risks and authorities
should not allow systemic risks to arise from the regulation, Xinhua stressed.
