CHINA STOCKS: Chinese stocks opened stronger in sympathy with the post-election
rally in the US, but have since come off their highs, with the CSI300, the HSI,
and the Chinext all failing to overcome their 55-dmas, keeping the broader
downtrends intact. The HSI is up 1%, the CSI300 is up 0.5%, and the Chinext is
up 0.3%.
- Focus now shifts to the China trade data which is due out any minute and bulls
are looking for signs of rising imports, particularly from the US, which could
help ease trade tensions with the US.
