Citgo Corpus Christi Refinery Plans Multi Unit Works in Q2

The 168kb/d Citgo Corpus Christi refinery in Texas is planning to shut multiple units in Q2 for maintenance according to Bloomberg sources.

  • Work will begin on May 8 and run to July 1 with unit outages staggered.
  • The work will include the 30kb/d naphtha hydrotreater, 44kb/d delayed coker and a 30kb/d reformer known as Platformer 5 at the West plant and a diesel hydrotreater at the East Plant.
  • The East Plant has the crude unit, the 2 FCC units, platformer/reformer, alkylation unit, sulfur plant and several hydrotreaters.
  • The West plant has the ULSD unit, coker, No. 5 platformer, mixed distillate hydrotreater.
