Clean Product Global Exports Surge Aug/Sep: Vortexa

OIL PRODUCTS

Global clean product markets have been overwhelmed by a flood of exports over August and September, helping to supress margins according to Vortexa – with strong contributions from both gasoline and diesel. This is despite a temporary oil product ban out of major supplier Russia from September 21.

  • At the same time as these flows surged, import demand into the “growth belt” from the Med and East Africa to Australia and East Asia receded to a 5-month low in September. (see charts for further details)
