reports that last night's Senate vote to allow the GOP tax bill to go to the
full Senate "starts the clock on 20 hours of additional debate on the tax
legislation before a freewheeling "vote-a-rama"" session. (Link:

- That could potentially take the whole voting process to late afternoon, it
would seem. 
- Meanwhile news site Axios said US Sen. John McCain "released a statement
Thursday saying he will support the GOP tax cuts bill. He called the bill "far
from perfect" but said it "would enhance American competitiveness, boost the
economy, and provide long overdue tax relief for middle class families." 
- Axios added, "Why it matters: This bill sure seems likely to pass the Senate,
where it then goes to conference." 
- House's Nancy Pelosi (Dem) is holding a 10:30am ET news conf; Hse's Paul Ryan
(GOP) holds a 11:30am ET news conf.
