Constitutional Experts Concerned About “Dangerous Precedent”

There is concern that a clause in legislation preventing the privatisation of water utilities without at least a 60% majority will set a “dangerous precedent” according to constitutional experts quoted by The Australian. It was felt that the amendment was rushed without being thoroughly discussed and could restrict the MPs of the future. The issue is to be discussed by the government caucus today.
