EURO-STERLING: Continues to be held by the Gbp0.9000 attractive influence, the
rate having eased from Friday's highs around Gbp0.9060, currently meeting demand
placed into Gbp0.9000 which appears to be keeping it buoyed. Traders aware that
month-end could draw some demand for the cross. Brexit remains a key driver in
sterling direction.
- UK Trade minister Fox told the Times "Brexit is on a knife edge and the
chances of Britain leaving the European Union are "50-50" if MPs reject Theresa
May's deal." EU's Juncker told the UK to "get your act together" over Brexit.
The Observer reported that "senior Tory and Labour MPs are planning to force the
government to delay Brexit by several months to avoid a no-deal outcome if
Theresa May fails to get her deal through parliament in January."
- 10-dma today comes through at Gbp0.9000, with topside of the key 1.0% 10-dma
envelope at Gbp0.9090, the base at Gbp0.8910.
