Investment-grade corporate credit risk receded back near lows for the week as markets looked to finish with a calmer note after the week's BOE-tied volatility.

  • Investment grade risk measured by Markit's CDXIG5 index is currently -1.328 at 106.007 (compares to 113.718 early Wed high); CDXHY5 high yield index at 96.149 (+.131).
  • Outperforming credit sectors (tighter or least wide): Communications -5.1, Consumer Staples (-4.4) followed by Technology -4.2.
  • Lagging sectors (wider or least narrow): subordinated Financials -0.6, Utilities -1.6 followed by Sr Financials-1.8.
