Investment-grade corporate credit risk continued to cool Monday, back near mid-September levels as stocks made moderate gains.

  • Investment grade risk measured by Markit's CDXIG5 index is currently -1.502 at 92.738; CDXHY5 high yield index at 98.603 (+.231).
  • Outperforming credit sectors (tighter or least wide): Communications (-2.2), Technology (-2.0) and Sr Financials (-1.8)
  • Lagging sectors (wider or least narrow): Energy (-0.8), followed by Utilites, Consumer Discretionary and Materials all clustered around -1.2.
