  • Indonesia’s parliament passed an amendment to the state-owned enterprises law, laying the legal foundation for a new entity expected to manage state assets while actively seeking investments domestically and potentially overseas (source: BBG).
  • Indonesia wants to produce 735 million tons of coal in 2025, higher than last year’s target, even as prices trade near the lowest in three years.  This year’s target is 4% higher than in 2024 and domestic demand could reach about 230 million tons this year, Tri Winarno, director general of minerals and coal at the energy ministry, said on Monday.   • The Jakarta Composite is bouncing back today up +0.95%.
  • IDR:  the rupiah has had a better day, following yesterday's decline.  The rupiah gained +0.40 to be 16,382.
